Does anyone know where I can send get my GAP Flasher to get repaired?
The harness is good and is transmitting power, but I can't get the flasher to connect to sled. Tried several sleds to no avail. When I connect it to the sled, I get the initial green blinks, but that is it. I used to get the intermittent blue light indicating connection, which no longer works. It's like there is no flasher plugged in at all.
I hooked the flasher to my laptop to do an update, but the laptop doesn't see it. It appears something happened to the unit. I opened it up, but didn't see any condensation or any other telltale issues. Added dialectic grease to the harness, to no avail.
Anyone ever run into this?
Thanks

Same thing happened to mine. It was probably 5 years old at the time. I sent it back to Hurricane to have him check it. He gave me a deal on a new one........

It’s likely not repairable. Parts inside likely not identifiable on purpose. Unless someone has taken the time to figure out? Would be nice as they do fail.Does anyone know where I can get my GAP Flasher to get repaired?

Have you popped open the flasher Glenn? Years back someone had success cleaning some visible corrosion inside with alcohol and a Q-Tip after the Flasher wasn't responding.

Yes, popped it open and didn't see anything glaringly wrong, but passed a q-tip anyway in vulnerable areas.
I know I need another one, but I just hate buying the same thing twice. Lol

They replaced my flasher back in 18.

Some of these companies have incredible customer service. My 6 year old Razor belt temp gage started being intermittent last season. I called them to inquire whether they thought it would be the sensor or the gage. To my surprise they shipped me an entirely new gage, wiring harness, and temp sensor for free including shipping to Canada!!!!! They didn't even want the old one back.
Wonderful
I installed the new one this fall and it is working flawlessly again

My Flasher is a mess after it drifted under the header many years ago and severely melted! Amazingly it still works but I have had to patch it up. After the melting incident I built a bracket to secure it in place better then the zip ties I used initially. Not pretty but it works for me.

I once had my flasher fastened down there and I noticed after a ride one day that it had a considerable amount of snow dust on it. Then, and I can't remember who, but someone mentioned connecting a OBDII extension a few years back so one could store the flasher in a dryer, warmer or safer spot. I took it a step further and eliminated the connection and soldered an OBDII extension on so the flasher can stay connected in my goggle bag. It actually cleaned up some of the mass of harness down by the chaincase.
