I have been looking for a sled for my son for some time now and I found one last week in Winnipeg Manitoba. The sled was reasonably priced and I was interested but it was a 4.5 hour drive away. I asked our moderator BOUNTYHUNTER by email if he would be kind enough to go and check it out for me as he lives in Winnipeg. Got a return message from him saying he was going that same evening to check it out. Well it turns out the sled was well worth the money clean and in very good shape. Problem was another guy was coming the next morning to take a look at it and the owner was not holding for anyone first one with cash takes it. The owner did not have paypal and would not give me his bank account number to wire him the money. Well I asked Larry BOUNTYHUNTER if he could trust me enough to buy and pick up the sled for me and I would come in a few days to give him a cheque. Being the great guy that he is he said yes he could do that for me no problem. We Carol and I went to Winnipeg met Larry paid him and picked up the sled and returned home to show it to a very happy 13 year old boy. So I thought people here need to know what a great guy BOUNTYHUNTER is. If I had not met Larry on the TY Manitoba rides through this site I could not have made that deal on that sled. So Larry once again I thank you for helping a friend in need. Oh yea my son cant keep the smile off his face when he is on that sled. Thanks again Larry! ;)! ;)!

You sound like a great guy Bountyhunter! I just wish there was more people out there like you and many others. Hard to come by anymore.

Jake ;)!

OH, pics of the sled not Bountyhunter LOL!!!!!

I remember when I was thirteen my dad loaned me the money to buy a Husqvarna dirt bike, I payed it off cutting lawn and shoveling snow in the neighborhood. That was probably one of the BEST days of my life, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for quite some time.

Awesome story. I remember when I got my first "cool" sled when I was a teenager. 89 Yami Phazer I was stoked! I am know selling is after 15 years of ownership.

MrSled,NosPro and I all made the trek to Manitoba a few years ago. First day there the chaincase packed it in on my Viper. We were WAY out in the sticks, and it was COLD!! Larry rode his sled back to town while MrSled towed me to our last gas stop. Srxtwins returned 2 hours later with truck and trailer (another story LOL) and we proceed to Srxtin's house. Larry is already there with parts laid out and the woodburner stoked. An hour and twenty minutes later my Viper is fixed... with me doing nothing but saying ,as Srxtwins put it, the fook outta the way LOL!! can't begin to thank every one of those guys that helped that day. Saved my trip and made some friends for life ;)! The gang from Manitoba are all right!!
