Took my sled into a dealer today. Got yamaha's autho for a new hood and all the fixings!!! Also have an updated hood bumper kit. Now tell me they didn't know there were sleds out there doing this. Anyways, I say if you have one with a cracked hood, and the sled is in emaculate shape otherwise (First questions the rep asked my dealer, "How does the customer take care of their sled?") take it to the dealer and get a new hood.
thanks,
Steve Burdick

So is there a fix for the problem after you get your new hood mounted :?: Are they going to replace the screws :?:

My hood was cracked up in the front, had nothing to do with the bumpers. No problem getting warranty on this.

NEW RUBBER STOPS
They are sending a new updated rubber stop kit along with the new hood. This will fix the rubbing so it doesn't happen on my new hood. I however could not get them to give me a new snow flap. My chrome is all gone. Anybody get a snow flap warrantied???
Thanks,
Steve

You never know, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that one. I'm hoping they make a yellow trimmed one for next year.

I got a snowflap warrantied after about 800 miles. The chrome was almost gone. My new Flap has about 700 miles on it and still looks like new. I think they had some bad paint at some point.

Amen LB Amen.
Good one LB. It feels great to go out and hammer this engine and not have to worry about rebuilding. Not to say that I abuse the engine but you can go out and have a great weekend of running the trails or the lake and go back week after week and can do the same thing without engine problems .

I live on the end of a well traveled 7mi lake. It IS a great feeling to not worry about the engine on those long runs.
I resent the Yellow remark  green and red have equal issues in that area. Maybe more on the green side
