GPS mount

Yeah my phone charging case is currently mounted just as twyztid did. Ram diamond base plate screwed to dash, short arm, diamond plate adapter to 3D printed adapter to Arkon case. Ram mount possibilities are almost unlimited. I am replacing that with the OSP plate. I wasted some time this morning and modeled it up roughly.

I used a RAM mount as well. Puts it in a great position above the gauges. Wired my battery tender to the goggle bag and have a dual USB connection there that allows my to plug in the GPS plus one other thing like a phone charger. Then I plug my tender in there when stored.

Thanks everyone. I talked to Ram and the have a handlebar mount and GPS specific holder they led me to. One of my customers said he has been using something similar and has been running for three years on his nytros doo 850 and assault 800 and has had good success.

Looks like something Travis at BOP could make up now that OSP is out of business..... I sure would order one!

I finally got around to moving my GPS from the riser to the OSP bracket over the gauge.

This shows how I mounted my Arkon case where my iphone rode last year using Ram 1” ball components.

I routed the power for the Amps cradle through the bottom hole from the previous ram mount location.

I wired up my Amps cradle, my RideLite and a Mic Tuning dual USB charger to the wiring for the accessory socket. All are when key is on (engine off or on).

I always use a tether for my GPS so I drilled a hole in the top corner.

I found the screws for the black cowling just barely long enough where the plate mounts. I may order new or source longer screws.

Back together all powers up correctly.

Are the OSP brackets still available anywhere?

I've been looking for them for a few weeks now and not had any luck. Seems OSP is out of business; website down, posted phone numbers no longer in service. I'm hoping Travis of BOP would pick up on the need and produce a similar product. I'm first in line for one Travis!

I actually have a used osp mount. I will work on this. Any new features or changes i should incorporate?

Since I've not owned one yet, I'd be happy to get one at all. I believe the OSP product had a large OSP logo cut through it; I was never a fan of that, I preferred their "blank" one that they started to offer more recently. Unfinished aluminum would be fine for me (ala the BOP fuse relocate plate - love that!), but the black painted or powder coated was a nice touch. Definitely needs a BOP sticker on it! ;-) although a windshield bag will likely cover most of it anyway.

The cable that is connected to the cradle, can you unplug it? Wondering if my cable can just plug into it.

The amps cradle cable is hardwired in the mount and under the dash all of my connections are soldered and heat shrink protected. You could create a plug set up and you can route the cable under the corner of the gauge without having to add a hole to route the wire.
