Just recieved the rules for grass dragging for this season from BCSF racing Div. Under the new rules this year if you have an RX-1 with a Turbo on it you MUST run in the 1500cc open mod class as
around here. They all got KILLED so bad last year around here by RX-1 Turbos we can no longer run in the 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300 or 1400cc open mod classes we must go into the 1500cc open mod class. What a F#@$ing crock! 2 seasons ago they were all beaking off about that a good running 600cc 2 stroke would beat an RX-1. Now with a Turbo on it they are all a bunch of pi$$ pants school girls crying foul. They are kind of right though, anything less then a 1500cc power saw motor (2 stroke) isn't in the same league as a set up RX-1 Turbo. Still pretty chicken $hit though. Guess they are running scared! Truth is

What about the Vector. Can I run it in 600 & up improved if it only has a bolt on turbo? LOL

They don't have the Vector even on the roster? But if its any thing like the RX-1 it will probably have to go at least 1300cc open mod with these new rules. Did you order a Vector? What kind of Turbo you going with? By the way these rules I mentioned are from BCSF (British Columbia Snowmobile Federation) Maybe the Alberta guys won't be such Ball Babies and let it run in the 800 open mod and up "WHERE IT IS CLASSED" Doesn't seem right to penalize it because it is HEAD'n SHOULDERS ABOVE the power saw motors? Soon they will learn

i have said it before, When yamaha came out with the rx they should have right there and then made a new class for racing. There would be alot more people racing them everywhere. Then they could have just made a boosted class.
PLease do this so that all the rx owners can race in a class that is for them not some other class that they stick you in.

Snowfever, i am getting a Vector and have ordered the MCXpress rear mount kit for it. I was going to do the RX but after riding the Vector, liked the lighter handling machine better. should be an awesome sled with a little boost.

They always change the rules when Yamaha builds a winner.

Yea around here years ago they ran the 650 Indy against the 580 Exciter this was even steven. Then when Polaris went to twins and Yamaha built the SRX they changed the rules to triples in one class, twins in another. Its been like that around here for years. Around these parts if you have a Polaris with pipes, heads. reeds, porting, stripped down with light weight parts diffrent track and window drivers your STOCK! With a RX-1, you change the track, window drivers and build your own muffler they tell you you have to run in OPEN MOD 1000. Oh well the bottom line is for me the RX-1 is (for now) the ONLY sled. With the new Vector coming, more and more people are going to realize that

Slymax, a buddy of mine bought the new Vector as well and is also putting on the MC Turbo, I hope I didn't make the wrong descision on my purchace. I think that sled is going to surprise alot of people, I hope I'm not one of them  Lots of guys say they just go sled'n for the sake of being out there, they say they don't care if they get SPANKED. I call BULL
. Sledders are EXTREMELY competitive people thats what makes this sport so much fun. If that Vector Turbo spanks my RX-1 Turbo I won't like it, but at least I will be able to say

I don't expect the Vector to "spank" the RX1 at all, there is after all a 25hp(40 w/turbo) difference and only 20lbs in it. Thr RX1, in my opinion, is still going the be the HP king. I have ridden the RX1 for 2 seasons(no turbo) and liked the handling of my MM before that. I also really like the way the Viper throws around, compared to my RX1. When I rode the Vector, I thought it had a similar feel to the Viper, but with a much more linear powerband. I just wanted more than 120hp, the turbo seemed the logical answer(even if it's 6K)The Vector is 50lbs less than what I have right now! I'll probably just put the turbo on with some extroverts, cut & clip the track and apart from that, it'll stay stock. Looking forward to getting started when everything arrives. I'm still not sure on the LC piston option though, will have to do a little more research on that, I want to be able to run premium pump fuel, I ride in the Mtns @6-8000' and at home as low as 2000'
