Guys:
Need help on this one. I am replacing my grip heaters with RSI units and a totally new control system...picutres to follow. I read up on the fact that you need to put resistors where the Yami grip heaters need used to be to keep the ECU from throwing the dreaded Code 81, and got them all wired up too.
My problem is I didn't know what my final grip heat level at the end of last season (I want to set it to zero) so I plugged in my old yami grips just to adjust the level, but only plugged in one by mistake. I got the dreaded Code 81, and thought....no problem, I will simply plug in the other grip. I did, and the Code 81 is still there.
Next I went into the diagnostic mode and went to 61/62. 61 says 00, and 62 says 1, meaning one code in the ECU to clear. My problem is when I adjust my grip warmer switch up and down, the damn code 62 wont go back to zero. I also ran the diagnostic on my grip heaters and they are working perfect.
What am I doing wrong? This is on my 11' MTX, but I am assuming it would be the same on all Nytros.
I may hit my dealer up on this as this isn't a do or die error code and it shouldn't be this hard to clear either.
Any help appreciated.

One thing I forgot to mention....
When doing the diagnostics and trying to clear the error, the engine wasn NOT running. Not sure if this makes a difference.
