had to doo it

We have ridden 2300 miles this winter and have only seen one Doo on a leash. All the rest were Cats. We saw three dead cats in five minutes....seriously five minutes this week on the trail. One of the 2014 Cats burst into flames today in Old Forge during the demo rides. Also heard one of the Vipers in Colebrook blew the chaincase. Will the Viper haul the mail? I think so. However I would give it a year just to be sure.

I have been into all Yamaha 4strokes engines and the Skidoo 1200 is just as good of motor if not better in some ways. The new 900 ACE will be a far superior sled than a Phazer in every way.

Anybody that discredits a 1200 probably has no real first hand experience with them. I have been riding with a 2 of them for a few years now and every time we switch sleds I am amazed on how well they handle. Far far far better than any Yamaha. It pains me to say it but it is true until the new Viper came out I would have bought the 1200 over another Nytro anyday, if I were to buy another sled. The only thing the nytro has over the 1200 is the throttle response.
How can it be far superior when it didnt even hit the snow yet

Well 900cc with 100hp is better than 500cc with 85hp. The rev xs chassis is a far better chassis then a Phazer. So I would wager that the 900 Ace will be a better sled.

After reading numerous posts about Skidoo four strokes and how Yamaha are "bettter" it frankly gets boring. Most who comment on the Skidoo four strokes have drawn opinions and never even driven one. I know I have not driven a 900 ace but I have rode many xp's, xr's, and the new xs and they are a much superior handling sled than any of the Yamaha offerings. There two strokes blow up all the time but the four strokes are as reliable as any Yamaha.

If you disagree then the blue koolaid has brainwashed you.

Just my observation.

I spoke with a member of the media that rode all of the sleds for the media event last week and he said the 900 ace was very impressive for 90HP. He said it did everything great. He said in one short straight he hit 85 before he had to back it down. He said it felt like it had more to give.

Sorry,i dont drink blue koolaid, but i am an observer as well,i have tried the most common sleds from the big 4,they all ride awesome and yes, some better than yamaha, but it doesnt make them better overall, for me,there is more than just handling in a sled, also, this is a yamaha site,so maybe doo talk would be the better forum in a case like this

I pretty much figured that you would tell me to go to Dootalk. I guess I can only post on TY if it is pro Yamaha? I own 2 Yamahas and have ridden Yamaha my whole life. I used to be some what color blind myself and I have since stepped out of the blue and wrenched on and rode many other brands and I am beginning to see the grass may indeed be greener on the other side. I am an honest person and want to give people honest answers. If someone asked me which OEM has the best all around 130hp 4stroke I would say Doo and I own a heavily Modded Nytro!

Just my unbiased 2 cents worth!

Sorry man,i guess, sometimes it just gets to me when i'm on this great site and all i hear is doo this and doo that, you can give your opinion like anyone else, still not a doo fan though

Back to the topic on hand...I think your dad will love to 600ACE. It will not win any land speed records but it performs very well for its intended purpose. I know a guy who just bought a 600ACE Expedition and he loves it.

ski-doo is way ahead for colour schemes. yamaha should take note on some of them. even powder coat the tunnel. if they did itd look pretty good.
