I recently had the wires cut and plugs relocated under the cab. I also removed the handlebar pad, added a riser to give it a cleaner look. Now my handwarmers and thumbwarmer don't get as hot. I was thinking it was something to do with the handlebars now being exposed and sucking heat. I am told this is may not be the problem because people have exposed bars and still have high heat output.

I have done a search here, but can't seem to find a cure. Would anyone have a clue? A friend of mine did the same thing and his handwarmers are acting the same as mine.

I did the same thing and only noticed that the warmers take a little longer to get up to temp.
