Back story: I happened to blow a belt last weekend...so I'm using a well used spare. I rode yesterday for 100kms and at some point my jack shaft bearing disintegrated. The conditions were soft and about 8C. I didn't notice the bearing issue...sled ran fine...but I'm guessing it allowed for some huge belt deflection and therefore a lot of slippage and thus overheated the faces. The secondary looks the same.
Anyone seen this??
I have seen that type of damage after a buddy blew his belt at 120mph ( YamaCharger)
Looked like a gravel truck dumped its load on both clutches
