I'm real anxious now to see if the sled has a little more snap! They say 6 hp on the website but talking to them they say 3-6. When I was reading the installation instructions, they said they recommend a clutch kit, I believe the number 6, and the fuel accelerator. The accelerator is out of the question. I researched the clutch kits and for my style of riding, it appears the #3 is the way to go from Hauck. Anyone have the #3?? There's a huge price difference between the 3,5 and 6. What can I expect with the #3? Thanks everyone!

I had Pats headers, silencers, and ram air and never had a sound issue with the cops, or DNR in Wisconsin or Michigan. Now they told me they didn't like the Nytro Hauck I had, but no issues ont he Apex. The Nytro was within specs they said, but very annoying going across the lake so keep it down they said. Now if you do this I recommend Ulmers clutch over Haucks any day. Pat set mine up himself and I got spanked like a fool and was not happy. Now Ulmers low end is awesome compared to Pats IMO.

If I decide to go with Ulmer's clutch for this sled, where will I notice the biggest difference? Will I lose top end? I'm looking for trail performance only with the occasional burst down a lake. So I guess low to mid-range performance I'm looking for. Thanks for all the feedback!

Spoke to Ulmer's and they almost have me talked into the #2 trail performer kit. Will the excell header make the sled louder with the hauck silencer? Or will it stay about the same with the silencer and stock header? Thanks again for all the info!!

No the header won't make anything louder.

Ok, so I decided last evening I'm going to spend the money and purchase the Ulmer trail performer package #2 for my Vector. A small project is turning into a huge project with purchasing the silencer to now purchasing this kit. I'm going to wait for Alan to get into the office from the snow show to order it. Has anyone purchased this kit or know of anyone who has purchased this kit? It consists of the header, air box mod, and stage 1 clutch kit. What can I expect with this set-up? Will I need a power commander? And what kind of horsepower results should I see? I'm very excited about this! Thanks for all the feedback!
You should be seeing close to a 140hp.The acelleration will be a completley diffrent sled. His clutching on the vector is awesome.
