I have scratchers too...the cable style ones....didn't help out....i'll probably just add the mountaintech kit, hopefully shipping and duty don't kill me to get into canada

I don't charge more for shipping to Canada. My way of saying thanks to my Canadian customers.

it adds a little bit of weight to a dry sled but it looses about 35-50 lbs of ice buildup in your tunnel while your out riding and enjoying your day

I heard there is a yamaha factory mtn aux heat exchanger... Is this the same type of set up?

Pull up an online parts catalog and look at a Nytro XTX (shouldn't matter which year). Under 'Radiator Hose' you will see two options. One is for the heat exchanger itself, but there is also a complete kit, which includes every hose and clamp required for install. As I recall, the cost on the two wasn't much different.

I know of more than one guy who went to the MTX fiche and ordered the p/n's for cooler, hoses, etc...

The MTX fiche doesn't show the kit - the XTX does.

Hope that helps

Ive got a 2009 nytro xtx thats running a backcountry track with studs (yep they are HUGE studs!). I bought it this way and really like this set up even though its not the norm. I do have an issue with heat though and was wondering if any of these heat exchangers would be safe with my set up?

Mountaintech. Will these work on a 121 an fit fine? Also to he guys with cooling issues. Are u running studs?

No studs for me. As for it fitting I have one on my bench and the sled torn down just looking for time to put it in. But I have held it in there and had a friend compress the suspension all the way and it looks to clear by more than enough

That should help a lot. Van amberg has one for the shorty and XTX also. Helps big time with the famous Nytro rear build up by the snow flap. with this you get piping on the one side, and the rear covered.

Is it possible to remove the radiator with this setup? Or not enough cooling?
