Did you wire it directly to the battery? I just picked the kit for my LTX SE.

Yes direct. You could also go into the key switch or use the accessory plug in thats on sled. Just remember that if you go direct you run the risk of leaving it on when stopped or not using sled. Or go with Cannondale set up with the led light.. tells you"your forgetting something" !

I was wondering the same thing. If my heated seat stops working I'm letting Yamaha fix it and I'm not spending a penny.

Update:
Brother was riding my Viper and it was in 20's. He complained seat was burning his butt. Sure enough and it also burned his pants a little. So 2 seasons about 4-5000mi out of the Single power Heat Demon and its shot. Looks just like when a grip heater shorts and burns a small hole in grip except this was my seat. Was nice while it lasted though.

Yes warranty but I'm hard on seats so spare will be nice.

Mine went to!!!
I lost heated seat / hand and thumb warmers last Friday c1600 and c1603 codes. I am looking for the wiring diagram for a 2019 to see if they added the heated seat to the same curcuit/fuse as hand/thumb warmers
My wife had one on her 14 zr 7000 that burnt/shorted but it was on its own circuit and hand/thumb.warmers were.not affected.

I love my heated seat. Still works great. It does get too hot however even on low. I ride with a bunch of guys usually Tuesdays and two of the older tuff guys(in their 70’s) in the group call me a pussy because I have a heated seat! Lol

They are warranty usually only last a year when factory installed. My last viper was replaced at 2000 miles then worked fine till 14000 miles. My new one lasted 4000 miles now back getting fixed. Warranty has always covered it for me

Ended up taking to dealer after it's stopped and after repair it's been good ever since.
