Whats up? My 17 RTX is getting a Precision multi map & dash flash today. I’m curious to OPINIONS on which helix a guy could/should run. I only ride on trails.
I also readily admit i don’t really “understand how they work”, there are tons of options, and just wanna know which one & why.
Thanks!

Honestly, Id be more concerned with other aspects of clutching, stock helix is not bad.
Need a ton more info too....

I wish Shockwave made an adjustable helix for Sidewinder, but they don't,,,,,,

Yeah you won't notic a huge diff with a degree here or there. Spring choice and wind will be more crucial depending on your needs. Stock helix works well.

You’ll need weights, springs, helix with that tune and she will fly.

I have that one. it is great for quickly changing spring wrap.I believe it is G-force that makes one.

Shockwave makes one that the ramps are adjustable, giving you up 20 degrees of adjustability without removing the helix.

Gforce offers other ramps to swap out in helix, 37 is lowest I see.I have that one. it is great for quickly changing spring wrap.

A lot of options and opinions. Many factors. If your after corner to corner and a nice pull on a punch at 60 GO straight 38 or 40. If you want big top end a lower finish like 39/35.

Ok, as far as other info...
I have Thunder clutching (set up by Terry). I have the Pro4 clutch. Orange secondary spring. All other rollers n stuff changed. What other info needed? As far as trails go, it’s mostly upper Wisconsin, so a mix of twists & wide open long straights.

Just my 2 cents, I'd probably just use the straight 35 it comes with. If you are a trail rider you'll get a good backshift with that.
BTW, a good fireside read:

The pro 4 clutch changes things. I would think that is going to be slightly different then what most are running. Yamaha clutching is what your going to get set ups for. Keep us informed on this clutch. Thanks

Pro 4 I was assuming is the primary that Thunder is selling? All billet? Maybe I’m off
