I have a 07 phazer gt and at constant rpm's or at 17, 20, 40 mph the sled will cut out suddenly and make a noise like its jumping out of drive. When this happens the green drive light cuts out for a second then it just goes back into drive, it makes a clunking noise and then just continues to drive at the same speed. ive checked all fuses and took apart the entire drive unit and checked the reverse box and chaincase, and nothing is ground chipped or worn out. I also checked the servos reaction when off the gearbox from drive to reverse and it works properly. Might this be a code problem or has anyone had bad connection to the servo box for any reasons???? its almost like the servo box is loosing power and allowing it to slip the drive gear into neutral. HELP!!!! ive never experienced a problem such as this

does it make a grrrr sound like its grinding?, they blamed mine on no oil, however the box they changed was not in oil, looked like a little box with wires,? now you have me curious, let me know what ya find out

Must be a relay for the reverse.I bet thats the culprit. All the relays have been known to cause issues. They freeze up.Only time it happened to me was when storing sled in warm shop and then bringing it outside to ride.I think warm shop creates moisture which then freezes relay outside.Might be same type as the rest.If possible what I would do is disconnect any power to reverse and see if that takes care of the issue. Also make sure your battery connections are good.

i have disconnected the servo motor and rode the sled and it does the same thing, and no their is no grinding noise when the servo motor operates, i have also had it cold, hot in a garage etc and it still does the same thing. the servo motor operates properly when off the gearbox when put into rev. or drive it just goes over to either side smoothly and stays. I rode it a little more yesterday and noticed there is a ton of play in the secondary if i turn it back and forth it moves like almost a quarter of a turn before engaging. it seems excessive. and yes i have properly tightened the chaincase chain. or is this just the kogs waiting to mesh in the reverse gearox? this isnt my first rodeo. but this things got me stumped............. hElP
