My phazer idles around 1500 rpm and it revs 7500-800rpm at 40k, I think at 60k it's reving near 10000 and the clutch engages at aprox 4500rpm. So I don't think your phazer is reving high but I'm not sure about the loud exhaust.

I agree with jason. My mtx runs about 25 mph at 8000.

yah the phazer is just a high revving sled, cruising at 80- 90 kms/h mine revs at about 10,000. when you pin it, it will go to almost 12,000

Yep, like they said they are high reving machines that top out around 12K.
normal idle is ~ 1700 rpm on mine. And they are loud for a 4 stroker so that might be normal as well.
