Well, I just did my first oil change on the RTX. I followed some advice I read on here to remove the 90 degree elbow on the bottom of the oil tank to clean the screen on it. Now its leaking from the bottom of the tank where the elbow goes on and Im afraid Im going to break the bolts if I try to tighten it any more.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks,

Take it apart again and make sure that the rubber o-ring is seated properly.

I agree. You may want to consider replacing the "O" ring.
How many miles were on the sled when you did the oil change? Was the screen clean? Did you put in Yamaha's oil or something else?

No oil leaks here, I even let the thing sit on it's side outside a tavern for over MANY hours, pushed it over started right up, no problems.
It seemed like a good idea at the time??? I jumped this snow bank and that is how I/it landed, I fell off, hit kill switch and left 'er beeeeeee

I saw the rubber o-ring and left it on the screen, then I blew the screen clean with an air gun, and noticed it was missing. Had to get a new o-ring at ACE hardware.
Definetly an o-ring problem

I would replace the o ring and hold it in place with a little silicone.

Yes, three of them that I've done oil changes on all had debris.

I just did the third oil change on my 05 Warrior with 3000 miles and this was first time I pulled the screen. I felt better doing it but it only had a tiny bit of debris. Even still for the extra 5 minutes it's worth it.

From assembly, I have noticed quite a bit of debris on the screen. Good to do for 1st oil change, then there is close to zero after that.
