Heat and puller got the retainer off! Looks like corrosion/rust between the two parts.

Since I have my chain case apart I think I should replace my jack shaft clutch side bearing.

Are there any changes from this guide for a nytro?

Unless you are having an issue I would leave it alone. I didn't change mine and its fine @ 5,600 miles.

I hate to plays devils advocate - but since the whole case is apart, and provided the bearing is due - I would knock it out.

Glad you got it apart, amazing how a bit of corrosion binds it. Maybe use some never seize on reassembly so corrosion wont start again.
