Hey all!
Newbie here...I searched the forum as much as I could before posting.
I have a 2010 Vector L-TX GT
Left hand warmer doesnt work, right one works fine.
So, I bought the new warmer/grip kit from the dealer, still doesn't work. I traced the trigger wire to the ecu..continuity is fine so no broken wires. I even tested the new warmer to be sure...that's fine too.
Anyone have any idea what I should try next? thanks btw Great site!

The grips are run in a parallel circuit from the ecu. If the wiring checks out to the ecu and one grip works but the other doesn’t you probably have a bad ground on that grip.

Thanks for the responses guys!
ok so is the same ground used for both or is it safe to run a test ground to that side to see if that's what the issue is?

I believe the grounds are separate

Just pull the connection apart and test for continuity from battery neg to the connector black wire it should be zero

ok..tested neg to ground on battery.. its zero
also traced the power to the ecu and theres continuity. wire isnt broken ...what should i be checking for power-wise?

Ok check the warmer resistance, across the connector. Then check the other warmer they should be about the same within a couple ohms. Probably 15 ohms or so

If you find nothing wrong, next step is piercing the wires with a needle and checking for voltage to ground.
0 volts to ground on the ground wire and 10~12 volts on the ecu wire, with the warmers turned up all the way.
Start at the warmer and look for those voltages

Might be a dumb question. But does each warmer have its own ecu wire?

Ok. Update
Working side. 15 ohms almost exactly
Non-working side. Fluctuating and hard to get a good reading. Slight corrosion(some green on one side and tarnish on pins on the other) plus its hard to plug in and out. Im going to untape the harness a bit, clean all connections, leave plenty of room to make good connections without forcing anything and see where im at after that. I’ll update when completed
Again. All this guidance is much appreciated. Thank you!
