When installing new hifax... what is everyone using for lube to install the new ones?? I have heard alot of different kinds of lube... like ... vegetable oil, baby oil, vaseline, wd-40, wax... so lets hear it, whats everyone using and whats the best???

I use a lithum based spray grease on the rails and on the mounting part of the slide.Next time you change them they come off really easy.

Have always used wd40,never ahd a problem. Just wish I wasn't getting so good at changing slides. But thats another issue!

^^ x2. Used wd40 or any kind of penetrating oil. Never thought of vaseline or vegetable oil

wd40 works great, simple, easy to apply and slide on easy. Just did a set yesterday.

I like to use dawn dish soap as it wont hurt the environment once i get it all covered in snow and it melts a few times to oil mess and my sled doesn't smell like WD40.
