Does anbody have any idea why my high temperature indicator would stop working? I know that it was working at the beginning of the season but now I can let my sled idle until it shuts off on the automatic high temp safety shut down but the yellow warning light and temperature LCD symbol never comes on.
I have a Daytona digital temp gauge from Ulmer racing so I can watch the coolant temp when the fan kicks in at about 200 deg. F. and then the automatic safety shut down at about 215 deg. F. However the high temperature warning light and temperature LCD symbol never come on.
I know that the yellow warning light is working because I see it along with the fuel LCD symbol when I am low on gas. Any ideas?

I am assuming that the same temp sensor is used for the computer to turn on the fan and shut down the engine. Since these functions are working I am assuming that the temp sensor is working.

Can anybody confirm that there is only one coolant sensor? If this is true, am I correct in assuming that my problem must be with the computer or the display since the fan and high temp auto shut down are working properly?

Does anybody know at what temperature the warning should come on and if this function uses the same coolant sensor as the fan and the auto idle shut down?
