When you say dule shock pk. you mean having both rear shocks serviced w/revalve or have a dule spring added to the front skid shock?? I have a 15 xtx w/now over 2200 hard miles on her,and like you said,if you hammer over the rough stuff its ok but sit down slow,oh boy you wont like it,i have my torsions soft front skid shock middle to soft clicker soft and my sag is about 3" but once skid has snow and is freezing up,my sag is not there, what I mean is once you sit on it,it sags but does not come back up,so you lose that sag or sit in during operation,i will most likely have hygear do something to my rear shocks,i also have my limiters down all the way plus an extra hole drilled to further pul them down,it does rail preety desent now this is w/6" shapers on inside and stock 4" outside.I'm 225 lbs, and by stiff, it just would not sit in when you sat on it from the factory. I had all my shocks done w/ the dual spring kit from Hygear and now there is set-in when I sit on it. I always ride with the rear torsion spring on soft, same as when new. Their dual shock package was one of the best mods I did for this sled as far as comfort.

Oh did anyone mention yet that the new 2015 or 2011 model apex's in the 144 track length are way faster on top end vrs 2010 none valved motors, and w/the unreal hook up you get vrs any 121 it is a win win story, mine now runs 111 plus on gps on groomed trails and rips past every shortie apex we have in our lg group, that includes attacks, all shortie apes 2 smokes 800's too, this thing can put 4-5 sleds from the start and keeps pulling away period.

No ski lift with limters pulled down like that? I took my limters in 1 or 2 holes all transfer on skis & ski lift was unreal so let out to last hole again & lift gone on my xtx. I dislike fighting ski lift in turns wears me out. When you say dule shock pk. you mean having both rear shocks serviced w/revalve or have a dule spring added to the front skid shock?? Does anyone know how the ride of a 2015 Apex xtx would compare to a 2015 Vector LTX? Or even a 2015 Viper LTX? I rode a vector this weekend & a viper and was wondering how to compare, since I don't have access to a newer Apex. I liked the seating position on the Viper. The Vector was decent and definitely better than my '06. Both handled rougher trails better than mine. Neither has the top end I'm looking for, however. Anyone with experience on these that can help?

Sounds like a good idea. reminds me of another question I have. if you are already buying a new snowmobile and have to spend money into it just to get it to ride better is there an advantage to just buying the SE and not have to put any other money into it?[/QUOTE][have to UO get it to ride betterTE="Sledroll, post: 1219845, member: 3778"]add the WRP seat and lake effect pivot riser , and it will be much closer to the Viper , but still an Apex !
It appears that most people who have owned both the SE and the XTX , prefer the XTX , as I have and do .
It is a better sled , so why get the SE ?
If you can make the better sled , even better ! by adding the Star kit , and other shock mods , and tweaking , why not ?
If you are paying over $18,000 CDN $'s for a new 2015 Apex XTX , what's another 10% more , to maximize the sled in most all conditions .
Even if you buy used , or new carryover , it makes even more sense to take some of your going in savings , and invest in your enjoyment factor .
The WRP seat is a big upgrade for ALL Apex's , so you should do some upgrades if you want the sled to be the best it can be = most fun and enjoyment !!!
As of now the only production sled that has the Apex engine , is an Apex !
That is why I stayed with the Apex , in addition to the power steering , and the 144 tipped up rails .
I used to fear for getting stuck with the shorty , when I went off trail .
Now I feel so comfortable maneuvering off trail , that it doesn't seam like the same sled .
All sleds can be improved with aftermarket upgrades , its just a matter of which sled , and which upgrades !
