Wow, that's quite a difference. I think snow conditions and driving habits will always be the biggest factor in fuel mileage. Never gonna be a hard and fast answer to questions like this.

The last two times out I got between 16 to 17 mpg (Canadian gallon), tank holds 34.6 liters=7.611 Can. gallon = 120 miles to a tank.
