HOW LONG WILL YOU KEEP YOUR SLED?

I agree! Turning the key and going sledding FTW. I certainly look forward to the next few years knowing my Apex will still be as reliable as it is today (hopefully). Maybe the BNG's for 2020 will be enough to hook me into buying a new Apex, lol.
 

That would be a great reason! My children are still too young, but Im sure that day will come sooner than I think. A couple 2 strokes (older models) may be in order. God knows I have wrenched on 2 stroke Suzuki engines a bunch to keep my old t-cats on the trail, im sure working on them is like riding a bike lol.

I do cringe when I think about working on those old 900 triple/triple Suzuki's, not that it was all that difficult but more that it was too often!

I had a 800 Cat triple and a 100 cat triple. Loved them! Then the four strokes called to me. I still have a 2000 600 Cat ZL best cat I ever owned worst that has happened to it is clean the carbs. Wait its the only thing!

Not just ""BNG"" for 2020 but ""ALL NEW STITCHING"" in the seat!!!:rofl:
 
If it's not actually the way I want it. I can always turn it into the way I want for a lot cheaper than buying a new one. Plus keeping it a lot longer. It's called anticipation of getting excited with new parts. For riding the next season trying it out with new parts

I had a 2 up from that era, it was a 600 but I don't remember exactly what sled it was (it was a franken-sled that was built by me). but I bet it was the same 600 engine, and it ran phenomenally with a nice plush ride. That one was trouble free!
 
I dont think i will ever let my back up 06 apex go. Even though i only ride it once a year
My current ride is a 14 viper rtx. Its a great sled and a lot of fun, but i honestly like the apex more.
Unfortunately my body (back and hips) like the viper more

I went from a new RX-1 (Too tippy ) , to a new Apex GT 2006 (loved it till it was totaled ly ), to a 2015 Apex XTX (Star kit ,+,+,+) which is twice the sled the GT was ! I made almost all of the upgrades recommended by many TY Apex owners , most before I even rode the sled .
Anyone who has a pre 11 Apex , or a 11 + short track , should up grade to a 11 + long track 144 tipped rail version , with power steering !
Because you know the Apex needs a long track to balance the sled ,AND harness the power of the #1 reason you love your Apex , THE ENGINE !!!!!!!!!
Don't worry about selling off your old sled , as anyone who is itching to try a the Apex , because of the engine , will get on board with your old sled , so they can get a feel , and decide what the next step is , of which we current 11 + power steering ,long track owners already know 1st hand !
The handlebar riser , the seat raise or WRP , the Star kit , or spring and shock rework , or both , ST or triples , and a little tweaking , is what the Apex really needs to be as good as it can be .
A sled most of us will NEVER let go !
UNTIL the NEW APEX ARRIVES !
And then the cycle repeats . We sell our old Apex 2011+ XTX , to those who bought the older version , or the short track version , who are now HOOKED /ADDICTED to the engine ! , and then ................
