How many did they make?

When my 40th was bought the dealer only had 2, 1 short track and one LTX... both were bought then... the 40th back then had a higher price tag because of the ohlins... they were a limited 1 year built "trim" package sled.. they may have not been a seried # limited sled, but only a certain # went to each dealer.

It sure would be nice to know!

They were just a different color is all. ;-)

And a few 40th Anniversary emblems/stenciling in certain places, like on the seat.

- So I emailed Yamaha Canada, and because my sled is a US sled (I imported it) they can`t give me any info.
- They gave me a # to call for Yamaha USA.
- I called there, and the guy says that he can't tell me how many there were.
- Apparently its information that is not dislcosed to the public.

- I think he just couldn't be bothered!

So, I'll be speaking with a Yamaha Rep in a week or so, and I'll ask him.

A bunch were available in WI & UPMI so many that they had a bunch in a warehouse that any dealer could have access if they could sell. Only worth more becuase of the ohlins all around. I ended up buying a Black 07 Attak GT non current for $3k less than the 2008 Ann. so called special. Nice 2008 Ann graphics but all black 007 was nice too.

Interesting I guess to have a number in Canada but you can find at least 100 used 2008 LTX GT Apexes for sale in USA since 2009. It is not a rare model here but who knows in 15 years.Yamaha may not be producing snow machines for all I know.lol

- It seemed like a low number to me too?
- I was thinking it should've been 1000, but he confirmed...100.
- And that's just the LTX GT.
- Who knows how many Vector's, 121 Ape's and the Mtn??

- I'd love to know how many were stateside?!?!

I don't know if we could ever get a number but it was many 1000s no problem finding them new & used here in USA. I know for sure because I was shopping that year for new. Like I said Yamaha had a warehouse full late 2008 & any dealer that wanted access just had to buy & sell to end user. Port Yamaha sold a bunch from their dealership at really good prices but too far for me to go so bought the 2007 Attak GT Black non current locally. Seems some what rare in Canada from your numbers but not in USA.

- Just to be sure...you're talking about the Red & White 40th Anniversary Trim right?
- Not the "normal" '08's.

I am not sure of the numbers at all. 100 seems like not enough. For the Ltx Gt. I got one, bought it new here in Quebec. I know the dealer where i got it only got 2 red and white 40 anniv apex (1 shorty and mine ltx) other models i am not sure. Good question on how many in canada, seems more rare then in the states for sure.

Oh yeah a bunch of 08 Red & White 40th Anniversary Apex in USA. Not rare at all here. Just a 1 year sled but Yam made a bunch for USA. I think they thought it would be a big seller & in some ways they were correct.
