Stock spring and driven?
What cam in the driven?
My setup on the rx1 with 11psi of boost is:
Supertips 60gr base + 2 tungsten inserts at base, and 8 washers in center and nothing on top
42 flat Roller cam on secondary. But you may want a bit more for a short track (mine is a mountain)
That is assuming you made around 220hp

I would try the supertips weight as I said in my first reply.
That should get you at least near 10000-10200 rpm and increasing slowly as the sled accelerate then go from there.
You have more cam, but non roller, and short track, so it maybe pretty close.

your heavy hitters are fine. helix is bit steep starting. use your primary weights to tune rpm then helix tro suit your riding condition and style of riding. for a drag setup with good traction 54-48 somewhere in around86gms weight. dont listen to moluth hes a computor racer

Men I had a 225 hp turbo apex last year so I should know how I was clutched? Only thing I was using a 4 ramp clutch!
The only computor racer as you said here are the guys that do think they run extra stupid big HP numbers... Dont get me laughing please......
Heavy hitters are fine too!

I have clutched a few turbos using hh,s. Your helix is an unkown(who makes it?) & so is your primary spring. Taking a shot here from my previous results is your looking at 70-76 grams of weight.

I was using FOUR arctic cat 70 grams ramps on my 225hp turbo apex last winter on a 42 roller secondary.
A admit spring was on the stiff side though

HH's on my stage 2 bender. My HH's are 48 gms empty.
heal - empty
mid - large bolt w/1 thick and 2 thin washers
tip - large bolt w/3 or 4 thin washers.
This will get you close. I have not hit the rev limiter yet!

Clutching on a front mount is different. You need heel & inner loaded up. Also different if your running pics; rubber or deep lug. Lotsa variables in tuning turbos & every front mount i have clutched needed all the inner spots loaded to the nutz unless your helix is goofy steep. If your helix is an advant-edge then it is a monster.

...thanks for your help....this sled is new to me, I have no idea what clutch kit is in it, It runs about 7-8 pounds of boost now, and I would like to turn it up alittle, like I said before, I am not very smart when it comes to clutching, I am tying to learn, thats why I sit at my computer in here half the night...lol ...btw it has a 136 track, ripsaw and I am going to change it over to a speed track very soon.....thanks for the help everoneTurk said:I have clutched a few turbos using hh,s. The best thing you can do to learn:
Take note of each setups you try, make ONE change at a time and note the changes it made from takeoff rpm, shift rpm at low speed and mid range and top speed.
That way you will know what you do.
