Hurricane 270 stock muffler tune

anyone have the hurricane 270hp stock muffler tune? Wondering how reliable it could be since td’s stock muffler tunes are 250/255. Seems like a lot more power. I’d like a tune just don’t want any issues. Bought a 4 stroke to avoid motor issues after some major 2 stroke problems

Let me put it to you this way. If your slightest bit worried save yourself grief and leave it stock. Not saying you will have motor,driveability or any other issues but many have when modded and nobody seems to talk much about it.

I know of 2 guys in my group with them and no issues other than smiling to much lol.
Also Me and another guy run 240/270/290 Hurricane with his trail muffler no issues. 3500 kms on 2 sleds and 5000 kms on other sled since tune and well worth the money.

Hurricane is literally only like 15-20 minutes from my house so I’m really leaning towards them

I have the TD max spool 16 , 2500 km so far.sled runs great, no issues, much better fuel mileage than stock, with stock muffler

I have 270 R tune from Dave and I just smile when the boost comes in, 4500 miles on tune no issues and Dave is good guy to do business with.

wow I wished I lived that close do your self a favour and just go talk to Dave he’s a great guy him and staff at hurricane. I’m running with no issues me and 3 others.puts a smile on my face every time.

Its pretty obvious most do not have issues but there are others who do and nobody seems to be able to figure out why. I personally know two that these tunes have been a living hell for so just keeping you informed. Mod at own risk.

I have 3000km on my hurricane stock muffler tune 225/240/270 all switch on the fly through stock gauge cluster and it has been flawless!!!!( I flashed my 2019 with 0 km)
My sled is a animal on 270 makes me giggle like a school girl in my helmet...lol
I have many friends running hurricane tunes and no one has had issues that I know of!!!

Like Hammer said go take a ride to the hurricane shop and go talk to Dave and the crew!!!!!

Just had it done this week. Had the flash done by Knappattack who is very sharp on this sled and lives close. Unfortunately I had to work yesterday and today was a blizzard so I have no miles yet but I did do my research and I know Mike has many happy customers. He just did one of these before mine and the guy is super happy. I’ll report back when I get some more seat time.

I just put my clutches on loaded with Dalton parts today but it was so nasty with the high winds and the recent snow on top of two feet of snow it was just not going to work today. Gonna try to do an evening ride this week if I can. We have the most snow I have seen in years on the ground. 4 weeks ago we had almost bare ground. We just broke the all time February snowfall record for Minnesota.

I have TD max spool 16 and no problems at all, I am a trail rider and normal riding between 30 and 60 mph Its very smooth with very little throttle needed, about 15 MPG avg. I would do again in a second. If you are close to Hurricane its a no brain'er. cant go wrong with TD or Hurricane, Both of these tuners have these maps down to a science. The stock muffler tunes are so nice because sled remains very quiet.

I haven't noticed any excessive heat ! I ran the 270 on some big wide open trails on my last trip for most of a day travelling at some good speeds!
