This is a 2" muffler with divorced waste gate. I didn't measure the afr because i already know where it's running as you will see on the next post

Looks like we're missing the dyno sheet for the 2.5" muffler

I think the big thing to take from these is how the free flow exhausts are affecting afr. A tune will be required with these exhaust to fix the lean condition

here is the problem I have with these dyno results as well as all the other dyno results I have seen for a high flow muffler install, boost pressure is increased with just a bolt on muffler of course hp is going to go up, if a stock muffler is ran at 11.5 psi the hp will go up as well, I would like to see the hp difference at the same boost pressure..... the other question I have is why is the ecu not correcting the increased boost pressure and backing it back down to stock pressure levels?

While you are correct in the higher boost adding to the higher hp, its also an indicator of the restriction in the exhaust flow after the turbine. Freeing up the restriction to me is the first step in making an overall hp package that surely must include a reflash to add fuel

Oh absolutely the stock muffler is restrictive, i guess what i was getting at is i would like to see the hp gains at the same boost level

I spoke with a friend at Cat last week and he explained that if you stay in the throttle a little longer the ecu will begin to adjust the boost back to roughly 10psi. Many are running a quick 8 second sweep test and not getting it to pull back the boost and you get a short higher psi from the added flow of the non restrictive exhaust. Just adding exhuast is going to be a disaster waiting to happen in his words. There will need to be a flash to richen it up etc. It is also a reason that we are seeing some great numbers and others lower. slow gradual pulls will see the pis pulled back on the dyno.
