Hyfax extender wheel kits

I have them.....2600 miles on the original slides with wear stopped

Were you getting wear under the original wheels? I am putting my 3rd set of sliders on, in 4 weeks. Last set lasted 250 km and melted off.(Trails are like concrete) But all the wear is in the middle of the sliders under the weight transfer rod, little wear under the front idlers. I cannot install the mid-wheels because there are rail stiffeners installed.(I bought the sled used with stiffeners already on)

I fully clipped the track at 450 miles and was anal about getting in good snow...also I used simmons skis with cooling fins....I wasnt sure they were helping and removed them and saw slightly more wear compared to how they were wearing ...now they seemed to have stopped right at 1-2mm below the wear line...of course I will replace...but with the entire setup all in all pretty decent

hyfax wear

Last season was going thru set every 500 miles, this season with pioneer perf offset no noticeable wear after 2000 miles

Rail Cracking?

I have a 2007 Attak. Added the Yamaha mid wheel kit but didnt do much for low snow conditions. Still wears hard in the middle of the skid.

What is the risk of rail cracking with these kits. It seems they would put alot more stress on the rails with wheels sticking down further. Any issues? Dont want to void warranty but I am tired of changing hyfax.

Can you let me know where you get the two hole blocks? Drilling required? I purchased a set of aftermarket wheels that have replaceable bearings and are a bit larger diameter. I was told I will need to machine something like .60 off of the inside blocks to keep the wheels in alignment so I was waiting for summer to pull the skid. If the two hole blocks are a good move I'd go that route while the skid is out. I would be concerned if you have to drill through the rail however. Also I have the low snow kit from Yam. I have 4000 miles on this Attak on the stock hyfax and could likely roll another 2000 by the looks of them. More shoulder and road riding than I would have liked this year too. I am swapping out the stock wheels because the bearings are not replaceable and a couple have siezed up this past season. I have however been able to pop the seals off and doctor them back up enough to get them spinning again. A bandaid fix.

After having larger boggie wheels in the front of my sled now for 2 years i have noticed the rails are twisting in from the force from the load of the front boggie wheels being larger..

I have this kit and I have seen "zero" wear since putting them on.. I have about 1900 miles on them with stock wheels.
