I put new carbon hyfax on and went for a 225 mile ride. Alot of trail but it had a lot of powder snow. Wasn't worried about wearing it out or sticking. Just checked my NEW hyfax and it is already down to the line in the mid section. Looks good at the front of the rails and back but the whole mid-section is spooking me. The wear is the same place as the ones I replaced. Ideas?

Thxs.

I wore out three sets of hyfax in 600 miles, the last I just left on,they have not worn at all in least 300 miles, once they wear down to a certain point they stop.

Mine had the same prob, i had taken off the rear idler wheels and didnt put my ice scratchers down and totally stuffed mine. They had worn down to the track!! Just took them off today and replaced them with another pair used the reverse method to take the old one off it worked a treat.
Ive just put the wheels back on. Im hoping that will help stop the wear.
