I ride with a buddy with an 07 Attak, its not faster period!!! IF we race from a dead stop on a packed trail he will never catch me we have the same top speed but I smoke him out of the hole. We have raced probably 20 times in different conditions.

No one knows what the gearing is going to be on the XTX so lets wait and see.

My stock Apex GT will blow by my Stock Nytro at 70-80mph, no contest.

NyTrOMaNIaC, yes probably getting a wicked hole shot and then lots of ground to make up for the Apex.

Lake running the two are in different classes and the Apex will smoke the Nytro in that environment, really depends were you ride and what floats your boat. All I can say was I rode my Nytro for first half of the season and when I got back on the Apex GT and WOW did it feel like a rocket and the top end rush was wicked !

Attn: Nytro Nazi's, not saying the XTX will not be a fanastic sled !

i have both the attak and the 08 nytro. My attak is faster top end by far but the nytro is very tuff low end it is a blast to ride you will like the nytro but you will notice top end loss

The loss of top end is what worries me....How much will I lose over the attak

My Nytro did not lose to many Apex's this year in the 1/4 mile. About mid 90's is when I get passed. The Nytro is a strong runner up to 95. If you're one of those guys who sits on a lake and holds it to the bar then you're going to notice lack of top end. It's not meant for long races. The Nytro's got very impressive low and mid range grunt, great for powering out of corners. I raced a lot of miles this season on both the lake, resovoir and fields. Against big iron and small. It suprised many people. My sled though does have the Excell system on it and is noticeably faster than stock Nytro's.

Anyone who thinks the Nytro will regularly beat a well set up Apex is not being realistic. It's got 10 more hp, and that being overly optimistic with the Nytro and conservative with the Apex.

Darnello....not too many guys here on the forum ride where we ride.....(OFSC Districts 14,15 etc.) Its an unusual ride as we can ride WOT in many areas.

I admit....thought about the Nytro too.....but unfortunately the heavier, Yammi 4 holer trail cruisers are the only way to go up there. Just my $.02

The Attak that he has got has different gearing than the Apex does it not? He can't turn those big numbers like the Apex, thats what he is asking. The most I saw on GPS with my 07 Attak was 169kph. There is very little difference between the Attak and the Nytro.The Apex is another story.
My arms would ache if we were boondocking for a couple of days in a row with the Attak, my friend said the same thing. The Nytro has a much lighter feel and you are not nearly as tired after a day of Hard Core Riding.

When we were in Yellowstone he had to buy 2 neoprene elbow braces on the 3rd day because his arms were killing him!!! I had no problem with the Nytro, I was kinda laughing at him. He is single and 2 years younger than me, and in better shape. Muscling the mighty Attak up in the mountains is a tough job. LOL

As for WOT runs we sometime hold them open for more than 10miles straite...sometimes 20miles....

That being said under normal conditions the Attak ran between 105-112mph on GPS.

I dont crave top end I just was to stay with my friends on lakes(dont need to beat them or race them) , Attaks, F7's F1000, SRX's....

Danrello, you ride long WFO Canadian trails. I ride the same as you, being from Sault Ste. Marie. I would not sell my Apex for an Nytro. The Apex/Attack just starts to get running at 70-80mph where the NYtro starts losing it's pull after that and is just rolling. On a stock for stock basis. Did you make the wrong choice? You will surely find out the first time you come up on an Apex or Attack. I don't think their will be a grey area. You will either be happy or not.

I'm a long track guy. 1 year ago I had a 06 Attak and a 07 Phazer mtn. Lite. I decided to buy a Nytro last year because I liked the Nytro ergo's more than the Attak and I just wanted to keep rotating my stock. But I was really dissapointed that the Nytro didn't come 136 or 144 last year. I still think the Attak is a great sled, but I wouldn't take one over a Nytro. The Nytro RTX even in a 121 is alot more fun to ride than the Attak. IMO I could ride the Attak very fast and aggressive on groomed or stutter bumped trails and it was AMAZING!!. Off trail boondocking my Attak was pretty good with the accessory's I added. However jumping the Attak could be a handful and trying to tackle big bumps on groomed and un-groomed seasonal trails would beat the piss out of me. With the exception of top speed I think the XTX is a better Attak.
Better Ergo's
Better acceleration to 80
Better/wider range suspension for on and off trail bumps
Better boondocker
I love my RTX so I'm going to assume you guys who bought XTX's are going to be whistling Zip-it-dee-doo-da next season.
