I need your input to make the right choice!

I'm running Ski-Doo pilots on my '07 RTX and love 'em... I kept the stock 4" carbide on the outside and just put a longer carbide in the center. This cuts down on some of the cost and you still get great performance.

I know exactly what Lazy is talking about and he is correct. My riding style seems much like the person who started this thread. For me, I went with the 8 triple points, shims and ski savers. If I saw more of the type of conditions Lazy was talking about I would go with a different ski, but most of my riding is on groomed trails.

I have to agree as well, that being the biggest reason why I went to C&A Pro Razors, The stock ski's didn't cut it.

"EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!" ???...I'm sorry but, I've never had a problem in any conditions with the stock skis on any Yamaha - including the 1,600 miles I rode last season on my Attak. I guess I must ride based on the conditions, not like a maniac...

Next spring when it gets cold at night and warms up in the daytime find yourself a lake that once had a bunch of snow, but now has this hard, packed, crusty snow. Try riding your Attak with stock skis even at just 20mph and you will see what is meant by EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

I ride from December to April in the U. P. of Michigan, groomed trails and off trail. I started riding up there in 1985. We drive to the U. P. every 2nd or 3rd weekend all winter. I ride 1,500 to 3,500 per year depending on snowfall. I have riden well over 50,000 miles and have NEVER had a problem with stock skis.

Simmons....to me the only non darting predictable choice
