I think my stock clutch is slipping belt

Do you guys think this is slipping or normal wear and tear? Also it doesn’t look like it’s shifting out all the way, but I do weigh 300. Only got 105 out of it not holding it too long (less than 1/2 mile), but it wasn’t climbing fast on good hardpacked groomed trail. All stock with orange tp secondary spring at 2-3, just went to 3-1 to see if it helps. What do you think?

I'll share my opinion:

Take that orange spring and chuck it in the woods as far as you can. Wayyyyy too much heat with that spring. Trying to make it run at 3-1 or whatever will reduce side pressure too much and won' t work imo.

I would clean clutch sheaves, put stock spring wrapped at 70 degrees and retest.

This looks suspect.....I would check your primary spring, some have broke.

The primary spring is junk, too long...

Also check rollers in primary and secondary.....also check the bushing in secondary, its almost like its not shifting smoothly and holding in certain spots.

Something off there how that primary looks.

What tracks are you guys running while seeing your belt slip?
I have a 1.6 ice cobra and my winder does not like it at all, way to much clutch heat, on 3rd belt in 1100 miles of riding.

I’m running the 1.6” ice cobra and haven’t blown a belt yet... probably just jinxed myself lol. Had 3000km on my stock belt with no issues. Now I’m all tuned so have made some clutching changes and am running the 8DN. With trail riding hard clutches are luke warm. While doing a couple wide open pulls across the lake clutches are definitely warmer but I can still hold my hand on them no problem.

IMHO those rings are the belt sticking in one spot of the primary fighting to go higher ...fighting the secondary ( spring)

I have a similar issue with mine after the first 600 kms .. Belt almost broke tore a section of the belts lugs off.. I didnt see an issue really till i got my sled stuck in some deep snow and was trying to get it out.. I then began burning my belt a fair amount.. got it back to the trailer just as the belt started to let go. I am running stock clutch with addition of the TP 35 helix and orange spring.. I am going to continue to run it and keep an eye on it for now.. was probably my error when trying to get the sled free

What tune, gears, and clutch set up are you running. Im running TD Max 17 with full Dalton clutch kit, DTAY 1 and both Dalton springs, with an 8DN. Alignment is 61mm, installed clutch vent kit, and still have hot clutches.

Where did you get your clutch vent kit?

The clutch above looks like a lot of hard full throttle, stab brake smack it again on trails, try rolling throttle on and off instead of pegging throttle. I'm heavy ,try it. Just saying a possibility. You did get full shift! Or broke the belt several times, clean it
