I know they aren't even being built yet but lets face it, its going to be a long summer. Just looking to see opinions on studding your XTX. Studding that has got to be at least a couple of beers!

for me its not just about the hook-up but safety. Our Vermont trails when get beaten down corners get a lot of ice. A lot of mountain trail riding with steep hills with ice sometimes. For me its an added safety option.

I ran 1.375" Stud Boys with tall nuts and double backers down the centre on my 1.25 X 144 Ripsaw that was on my Gade. Worked awesome! I'm going to switch out the stock 1.25 on my XTX for a 1.5 Ripsaw or Crossover, haven't decieded which one yet and will probably stud with 1.65 studs...if there is clearence?

Dealer told me that there is an option to upgrade to either 1.5 or 1.75 lug.
1.5 is what I'm looking at.

That's good to know, I'll contact my dealer to see what options are avalible. Saves me the agravation of switching it out.

Camoplast Cobra
I think the new Cobra track looks pretty nice. The reports I have read on the shorties sound good. I called Camoplast, they said they would have a 144" Cobra 1 3/8" available for next season. I don't know when they will be out, but I want one.

I think the 1.5" ripsaw would be great. Will it take away from any trail performance or will it be better on the the trail?

IS THERE A BIG DIFFERANCE BETWEEN THE RIPSAW AND COBRA? will there be room for a 1.5 track with studs?that combo sounds like it would tear up the snow pretty good... only 218 more days until DEC 1st.......

Re: Camoplast Cobra

Just a thought but cat has a listing for a 144'' 1.325 cobra and if you go with the cat part # it will be a quiet track!LeeKo said:I think the new Cobra track looks pretty nice. Cobra better in the loose stuff and powder, its ok on the hard pack if its studded, I think the ripsaw may be better for hard pack , but how long does the hard pack trail last? not very long unless your up in quebec below zero!SUMMITSPIKE said:IS THERE A BIG DIFFERANCE BETWEEN THE RIPSAW AND COBRA? will there be room for a 1.5 track with studs?that combo sounds like it would tear up the snow pretty good... only 218 more days until DEC 1st.......

I think i am going to stud the wifes 1.25 with 2 in each pitch and see how that goes.....
