Thanks Sapling. How much boost can you run on premium pumpgas with the Powderlites Apex HP kit?

I hope it's capable of 15-16 lbs on pumpgas premium or I might as well buy a midmount MCX550 kit capable of 375 HP on pumpgas premium.

I sure hope you are not serious about running 375 hp on premium pump gaz right????????????????????????????? :o|

If 98 octane do 375 hp I would like to know how they did it... so I will do it same way!

I run 103 octane racing fuel and can go much more than 15 psi without getting knock on my knock sensor.

I'm not validating his numbers, just pointing out that his pump premium and our pump premium are not the same thing...

This is not a joke!!!

I guess lowering compression and adjusting ignition timing plays a part in what MCX does in this trail version of their High Performance kit. And yes our premium pump gas is of a very high quality. I run 16 lbs on premium pump gas 98 octane RON, running Wiseco 10:1 pistons and 2 headgaskets stacked for a CR of 9.13:1

Also, the MCX550 turbo kit is a mid mount where the turbo is as close to the exhaust outlets as possible. This turbo makes a lot of power without having to go very high in boost. The race version of the MCX550 turbo kit has been dynoed at around 500 HP by racers by racers around here.

I'm not an expert on the quality diffrence between european 98 octane and US 93 octane, but octane wise they are the same, 98 research octane (RON) / 93 motor octane (MON)!

MCX are still able to make big HP on pump premium :-)

TBird is correct on the octane!
