Yes but 17642-01 is different ... I can’t make out the digits on the old belt but start with 16xxx-xx. Both are Yamaha belts. What do those digits mean to the belt number after 8DN?yep, 8DN would the belt you are after.

Yes last 2 digits are usually an update it is the 17642 that I’m questioning old belt started with a 16xxx. Back in the 90s I had and Indy 500 and a Indy lite 340 belts were different by 1 digit and the Indy Lite would not go in reverse. Caused a lot of headaches until I figured out that problem. I just want to be sure this new number is correct before I use my Apex xtx..... belt is on now but could come off easy with Rich clutch tool so if not right belt I can return with the bag.I know at one point the 8DN was updated thats why the last 2 number are no longer -00 and now -01
