it will probably be using the same motor as the YXZ1000 with a turbo.

Maybe for now, but I would put big bucks on that engine being a common platform for other rec vehicles in the future.

Now the question is what happened to mpi? Dead in the water, maybe just making aftermarket upgrade parts for the latest models? Hoping that there are a few people out there wanting viper, Nytro, or Apex items??? Seems like Yamaha switched gears on him somewhat......

I watched the youtube video of the sidewinder but my question is, why do they have the 1.75" lug track in the 153? They make a 153" trail sled now? Something doesn't seem right there.

I really wish they would release a 137" with 1.75" lugs, that would be the perfect sled for us Minnesotans!

Skidoo has the FreeRide (137x1.75)
Arctic Cat has the CrossTrek (137x1.5)
Polaris has the Pro-X (137x1.75)
but for us Yamaha guys, we're stuck with a Viper S-TX with a tiny lug. Don't get me wrong, I love my Nytro XTX ever since I put a 2" Challenger track on it, but some days it's just way too much for around here.

They had one. '15 LT-X LE had the 1.75 Backcountry track and I love it! They should release another.I really wish they would release a 137" with 1.75" lugs, that would be the perfect sled for us Minnesotans!
