2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I have 3800mi. on her now and thought I'd take a peak at the donut-ypipes before I put her away for the season. Although no noticeable noise was there I was curious. Sure enough one pipe had a chip out of the end and I could see small hairline cracks starting on the other.

I called my dealer to find out about these new SS YPipes. One thing led to another and he said it would be covered under the 30month emissons warantee. Parts and Labor. I should have read the warantee fine print. :o| I had it apart already not knowing this and he (LLCote in Errol NH) was kind enough to give me the parts for free. Ypipes Donuts rear gaskets. I figured it would be a pain to bring it to him in pieces and good for me to see this threw. Well be getting the Vector LTX in a couple of years for my wife. So good to learn all I can.
I found the SS ones aren't that much heavier and hear good things about them from RX 1 people. So I went that way. I might of been able to get the Titiaium ones as well.
Simple enough to install. I did have the whole exhaust system out including the Flex Pipes at the head.
I took the skid out so it was easy once it was hoisted up to work underneath.
Thanks to all who posted info on this subject and skid replacement as well.
I was alone so taking the skid apart (front arm, Shock,Transfer Rod bolt,Bogey Wheels) made it possible for my old arms. It is much easy if you have someone (even the wife) to help. The ypipe and exhust was easy by myself. Just the skid install.

I ran it out the shop and into the storage shed and it ran real well. No show here close by so well see next year.
Also amoung lot's of other things done for maintance I sent the shock out to Pioneer to get revalve and Big boy spring. I also put a 1 1/2 in piece of good foam under OEM foam in back half and that made a big difference.
Look forward to next season and having a good sled under me.

Cheers.

30month emissons warantee??? Never heard of that before...considering we dont have Catalictic converters

Maybe it's a Federal 4 stroke thing..?? Check your manual it is in mine.now that I have looked..
.I never looked at that part. Just figured it was 1 year type.

captcaper what foam add-on are you talking about? I'm going to check my clamps/gaskets as it is just starting to rattle under there when I first start it cold. Thanks

Sorry I got off topic in describing what I did while I had the sled apart for the Ypipes. You will probably need the Ypipes if you here rattles, etc.
You have to drop the skid part or all the way to get at the exhust system I believe. I did anyway. Was much easier.
I put a 1 1/2 in . piece of foam under the OEM foam in the back 1/3 of seat. You have to take the staples out and lift the cover back and the oem foam. I put it under the Oem foam..That made the seat stiffer and I didn't have to shape it alot to keep the original looks. The vinyl will have to be warm to staple back. Even though its only 1 1/2 in. the cover went on tight. I used 1/4 in. ss staples.
