I wonder if the Kimpex Venture style mirrors fold like the OEM mirrors do. Anyone used them or had a chance to see them up close?

Buy OEM, the Kimpex are junk. Wobble all over and they just get worse with a few miles on them. Had a set on my Venture, they are now in the garbage.

Thanks. That's good to know. It's probably why the set I was considering are priced so cheap.

Go with what viper dave says. I've had the OEM for two season now and they are still good as new. I fold them down every time I trailer my machine and take the odd branch/twig threw the narrow trails. Well worth the money.

Well, I stopped at the dealer yesterday to ask about getting the Venture mirrors. While he could order them, he had a set of the handlebar mount mirrors on hand and let me take them home to see if I liked them. I already have Apex bars on my Vector so it seemed like an easy thing to try, and I also liked the idea of an easier installation without drilling and the ability to transfer these to another snowmobile if I upgrade next fall. The only issue was clearance between the mirror mount and the brake lever. I put the mounting block, that the mirror stem threads into, on the front side of the brackets instead of the rear as shown in the instructions. I like the results so I went back today and paid for them. It's nice to have such a good local dealer.
Here are some pics. Sorry about the lighting. I'm not a great photographer.
