Hello Apex guru's. I'm typically an observer in here soaking up the professionalism you display.
Two weeks ago I removed my skid to replace the exhaust donuts and to add a big boy spring. I got everything back together and it seems tight but I haven't had a chance to ride outside of the yard.
Last night I was cleaning the garage and found this rubber bushing in the area I was working on the garage. It's possible it doesn't go to the Apex at all, I do t recall seeing it when I removed the skid but have no idea where it came from. I've searched the microfiche and can't find it.
Any thoughts? It's about an inch to an inch and a half long.

Possibly from the transfer rod. been a while since I had one of those out, so I can't exactly remember what it's made of, or if it looks exactly like that.
part #93315-31758-00

Is it possible it's a DIY transfer rod damper instead or hard original in an attempt to stop low speed clattering over stutter bumps ?

The transfer rod isn't something one would disassemble for this type of maintenance. This part can't fall out of the transfer rod assembly. I agree with RAMSOMAIR's opinion.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I'm now convinced it didn't come from the Apex, I found a match on the other side of the garage. I have no clue what it came from but I feel confident the Apex is back together with all her pieces.

Did you remove the seat?the seat has rubber bumpers attached to underside of seat pan.these may be something someone added for seat to tunnel rubbing?

I did remove the seat but I don't recall seeing these. Where would they go?
I looked at the parts diagram and it calls for two protector things part number 8FR-2476U-00-00.

I've never seen a part like that on any Yamaha. Drive on!

Exhaust was off?

Looks like the rubber bushings that are on the bolt holes that hold the muffler to the chassis.

Wouldn't be in the diagram if someone added them.i wouldn't sweat it.no one recognizes them so they either were an added part or went to some other machine/tool etc....

I agree with what everyone has said regarding this, and it looks to be solved. No argument here.

The part number I was talking about is the bushing inside the eyelet, not inside the internals of the transfer rod. (I was wrong, but not they way you mentioned)

...also, if you aren't disconnecting your transfer rod before removing a mono rear on an Apex, you are doing it the hard way... Just say'in.
