If I wanted to knock 30-40 pounds off from my 2010 Nytro std what would it take and how much would it cost?

Battery is a great start to shave 9-10 off. And not to expensive! Or have the rider shave some off!

You calling me fat? Well, i am but that's another thread...lol..

Well a easy 20 is skins seat and a new exhaust ... I'm also putting on skins running boards but I'm not sure what that can do

How does changing the battery effect lighting, starting handwarmers ... Ect

Being a short track, a timbersled setup or an mcat float skid does not make real sense. They both would drop 30 pounds or more on an XTX and MTX, but those skids are not known as the most trail friendly. This would also require you to extend the sled and such.

The skinz seat only loses a lot of weight when you add the under tunnel kit with it. The SDR under tunnel exhaust is a complete kit that would both lose dry and riding weight. You could also fab your own under tunnel exhaust.

The battery option is easy and plan on doing it this year also.

From my reading because I am modding my sled right now too, I would suggest researching removing the foam on the panels, under tunnel exhaust, battery and relocating your tools. After that, you really start paying for items.

Do you mainly trail ride? I ask because some other mods may be better then just focusing on losing weight.

Tunnel block off plate will prevent a 20-30 pound weight gain over the course of your ride.

The skinz seat will loose weight on it's own but also any aftermarket muffler will loose weight. does not have to be undertunnel. Stock muffler is like 16 lbs or something rediculous.

Do you know how much just the seat and their seat frame weighs? I wish somebody would make a rear bracket for the stock seat for like 50 bucks.

Excell claims 8 lbs savings with their exhaust. I guess i could weigh my factory exhaust and the excell exhaust next week and let everyone people know. Im not sure if spending $1050 is in your budget though.

The stock muffler weighs 13.5lbs...full system weighs around 17lbs....my full Hindle system weighs around 6-7lbs....and adds big HP

Starting it doesnt.. just find a battery with equal or greater CCA. i bought the braile no weight and it has the same if not more CCA. Plus it weighs 6.6 pounds compared to 16 stock pounds! For lighting it wont affect it either. 12 Volt battery.
