looking for a little more ski bite, pulled limiter strap up a to the middle hole, i now see the track tension is real loose, how loose do you guys run them or should i just go by manual, also, any bad side effects from pulling the strap up, thanks

what machine are you talking about?
if it's an Apex i may be able to help you.
too much ski pressure will be a pain, i am 250 dressed so i have my spring on the shock on the second clip and about half way on the preload adjustment. I just let my limiter strap all the way off (had it one hole down) so as to get myself LESS ski pressure, took it for a 100 mile rip today on hard packed trails and it rails! I also have my transfer rod set almost to full max setting.
I should also mention that i have 144 1.45 studs and 6" carbides with homemade (pipe) tracker type things on stock ski's.
i like a loose track, most say run it loose enough so it will not ratchet on hard acceleration. mine hangs about 2" when the sled is lifted from the rear.

06 apex gt , guess it isnt that bad then, about 2 1/4 inches when I let it hang and push on it hard with my fist, havent had any ratcheting so Ill leave it alone, thxs

I found when i ran mine that loose I was getting some funky hyfax wear. Very uneven like the track was ballooning. I went back to factory specs and seems better and still rolls fine.
