Yo, i have a Pioneer 13 mm swaybar on my Apex, and it is great..
but, after 2000 miles,. it's like my inside ski lift is back again with a vengeance , maybe i just forgot how it was over the summer (wich is not impossible mind you)... I am just wondering if anyone has tested longterm stiffness of the bar.. Does it maintain it's stiffness with repeated use and abuse on the bumps??..
Anyone know???
or maybe i'm just spoiled after riding my girlfreinds Vector..

Are you sure your just not riding more agressive now that you are familiar with the gains of using the bar put your stock bar back on and go for a ride if the 13mm bar lost its tension I think it would be visibly twisted or broken as it is a torsion bar spring

I doubt that the metal properties would change much over time but you could ask the guys at Pioneer Performance.

I've had my 13mm on 2 sleds so far, '05 RX1 for 8000kms and now on my '08 APEX for 10.000kms and still find it STIFF!
I'm going back to 11mm with a different GYTR "Clicker" shock set-up from Star Suspension from Coaticook that Robert did for me, will see how it turns out, I find the 13mm to STIFF in the STUTTERS and un-even stuff, I'll be testing it on the weekend.

I rode my Rage with a 13 mm bar for the first time this past weekend at the TY Muni ride. After reading posts on this bar and the suggestions from Pioneer, I backed off my front springs to the minimum factory settings.
My first impressions were that it had less ski lift. Later in the day after riding it over 100 miles I thought the ski lift was back. The next two days of riding I thought the ski lift was reduced. I think the differences were due to riding style and maybe the snow conditions. I think it takes less body english to make it corner flatter with the 13 mm bar. Overall I was pretty happy with how it handled.
As for being stiffer or too stiff. No way. I dont know how anyone could say it was too stiff. I was taking stutters at 80 and it rode great. If anything I thought it was too soft. I am going to tighten up the springs a little before my next ride. G.B.

When you're pounding the bumps at 80, you can use a stiffer spring than riding over them leisurely at 40.Gone Blue said:I was taking stutters at 80 and it rode great. If anything I thought it was too soft.
Its like speed bumps... the faster you hit them, the less they actually bounce you.
