Looking for Feedback on Remote Starters

Install yet???

Snowdog,
You get a chance to install yet. Just recieved mine from UPS. No time to install right now as I'll be Moose Hunting for 2 weeks. Just wondering if you had a chance to get yours in and how it is working????

Attakred06...where did you mount your Remote Start unit? Pics???

The only decent place I can come up with is in the nose. Have to waterproof it up there. just looking for ideas...

I will post the install in a few days. Flybyu came over Sunday and glad he did cuz he knew what he was doing. Still have one more to install on another sled...

Pics and install coming soon...

Snowdog,

Which brand starter did you install?

Thanks,

I am looking forward to the pictures!

Maybe if we get enough interest in this and see how they hold up durabilty wise, we'll make up some kits. Now that we know where everything goes, it'll take you longer to take the headlight pod and air box out, then to put the remote start kit in

Just walked in the door from putting it all back together. Got my 06 bars on as well. Gotta be up early tomorrow so no time to post it all up right now. I took a vid as well. Like flybyu said...would not be too bad if all the wires were the right length etc...and it was a bit more customized for this application since this system is different than a car. It's a bit of work if your just working with the raw kit. Hey flybyu...by the way I had to relocate the unit. Would not fit where we wanted to put it. Airbox dips down to low. But the foam block worked out well in the nose and its nice and secure. I have a pretty nice way of waterproofing it as well and all the wiring is routed nice and clean. After all is said and done I think it will hold up pretty well the way I have it. I do have a question for you. I'll ring you tomorrow. Sounds like Mike will have his sled here soon so I can get his hooked up.

I am going to just start a new thread tomorrow since this one is getting long and it's sorta confusing on the negative deal...

Thanks again for all the help!!!

Yes it's getting long. maybe we'll restart one and i'll have vince or another mod make a sticky on it

Hey guys...been super busy at work. I will post up the install as soon as I get a chance...

yes the nose is my choice too,,i just worry about wraping it up in plastic,, condensation you know??? if it get wet it will never dry ,,,and driving it in and out the heated garage will do the job,,so mine was tied up under the air box so air goes around the unit and relays,,,so it will dry!!!bye
