I was re-torqueing my studs and found that I lost one. It didn't pull through or tear the track at all, so I'm assuming it loosened up and fell out. At this point, it doesn't appear to have damaged anything else, but that could have been nasty!

Good thing it's not stuck in your rear heat exchanger that would be my luck.

That makes sense. It also means I missed it twice because I re-torqued them once after the first 100 miles. That seems less likely but I don’t have a better explanation!

Better than the luck I had. Bought a sled with 1200 miles on it, falsely assumed the studs were torqued right. Ended up losing 21 of them in the 500 miles I put on the machine (didn't check when we stopped for the night)...
Thinking over torqued and stripped out the aluminum nut. Seems more likely than the head of the stud breaking off. Any inside idler damage to the rubber on those wheels?Forgot to tighten one up

I hate to say it, but check your front cooler. Hopefully you got lucky and it evacuated the tunnel with no damage. I've seen a lost stud harpoon the front cooler, it sucks.
