I'll give the rivets and spring a try. I"m only reving in the 85 range and I tightened my secondary up one hole, might have to go one more I guess. I really do like the posative back shift the tighter seconday gives, my track must be pulling me down a bit, Arron told me I might be over reving with the pipe but I havn't seen it yet.

Do not adjust for rpm,s by tightening the secondary.
It will hold the belt in low gear=bad top end=major belt heat=poor performance.
Allways adjust for rpm,s by using the primary.

will the spring and rivets work for the 08 shorty as well?not sure if the clutch and secondary are the same as the xts.wouold sure like to get rid of that harsh engagment.

So I should be going to lighter weights and softer sprin to bring peak rpm up and engagement rpm down, right?

To raise rpm,s reduce weight &/or a primary spring with more total force. I would just remove mass in the area of the weight where you need to raise rpm,s.
inner=low end
middle hole = mid range
outer= top end
There is a little overlap of where mass controls rpm; especially if you over load/ under load an area but this will get you close.
