Ltx se blowing belts

It's possible but I blew the first belt like 20 miles after all the work and I heard something slapping so it actually did blow but was about to and that was gates carbon .
For what it's worth, I ran and "tested" every belt made about last year (Dayco XTX, Gates carbon fiber, Timken XS, Cat). We had 3 new Tcats w 280HP tunes in them and lots of long studs. Gates carbon fiber was the worst. Would blow into a million pieces. Carbon fiber is good for steady load but is terrible for shock load which is what this application has. Cannot use carbon fiber. Most durable belt is XS. Next would be Dayco XTX.
IMO, you'll never get Gates carbon fiber to hold up.

Recently tune my sidewinder with hurricane ss sm tune bundle and had dave align clutches which had to machined the shaft on secondary clutch. I also had them look over my clutches for wear or defect everything good they installed dtay-1 set at 78.5 grams with blk/org secondary wrapped 6-3. So got chance to ride the sled within 100 miles I blew 2 belts before all work I've only blew 1 belt in 600 miles. The only thing I've changed from when it left dave shop was took out the shimwasher had add last year to set deflection. Sled belt was to tight with other washer and would not allow the sled to go in reverse. So I removed it to loosen deflection other than that nothing changed other belt swap which was gates and stock belt. Any suggestions.

Dave did the work?
maybe he should look at it again?
After all he is the owner of the highest horsepower yamaha on the planet, correct?

Just give a chance to XS825 and try it. You have one year warranty and it's a good belt.

Snow coming in over the top of your heat exchanger between the tunnel and heat exchanger. Getting on belt and causing slip and exploding to pieces.

I blew up 2 gates in first 500 miles. I could blow them at will. Get on throttle hard and let off and whack it again. Bang! Game over.

Yup. Typical failure mode for Gate Carbon fiber.

The only belt I have blown was a stock 8jp but it was hot, from running hard in tight trails, than road opened up,so full throttle for 12-15 sec. blasts, for 20 miles, than out onto RR bed,and not letting it cool, ran to about 110 speedo, and Bam,blew into a million pieces, belt had just over 1100 miles, sled was tuned to about 260 hp at that time.

Ya, have Dave look at it again for sure. Try a Carlisle/TIMKEN XS 825 next time too. Like one of the guys said earlier, maybe the primary crept in on the stub shaft bearing a bit, and now you’re a bit out of line again?? Thats very plausible.

I'm definitely having dave look at again but the first belt I caught before blowing apart then just switched to 8jp so I dont see how it could have with out actually blowing the first belt to pieces but not a pro on this stuff so if someone could share some info
