I am looking at buying either a rage or vector and would be interested in getting views on the main differences between the machines in handling and other areas. I believe the Rage has a longer track.

Rage 136" skid vs. Vectro 121" skid
Some slight clutching and gearing differences, that other guys here can likely give you specifics on.
Rage will likely be few MPH slower on the top end, BUT...YOu will have a better hole shot due to the traction of the longer skid.
Rage will bridge mogules better on the trails to give a smoother ride, BUT...will take a little more effort to corner on tight trails...
Given and take, baby.

Its a 121" vs a 136". The Vector might be slightly more agile through the twisties, but IMO the added straightline traction and smoother ride of the Rage is worth every penny.

As warriorbeads said give and take. I really like my '05 Rage and don't think I would go back to a 121" skid if I was to just have one sled. It may not turn quite as well as the short track but I don't really notice a big difference.
I love the added traction, floatation, and stability. I can make it through the tight twisty trails just as fast as my cousin who has a 121" skid, just can't pitch the rear end into the corner with throttle input. You have to drive it into the corner hard and then tap the brake to get it to pitch throught the corner. Just a little adjustment in riding style.
Either way I don't think you will be disappointed. This was my first 4-stroke sled and my first 136" skid and I love them both.

i had a chance to drive both on a demo ride all day befor i bought my rage and the rage is better over bumps off the trail and i think it gets throught the twistys as good if not better gets outta the whole better and the top speed on the rage on a typical snow coverd lake is about 112mph on the speedo and on a plowed icy road i seen 118mph
