I have no brand allegiance at all, I presently run a powertrail set up and have had nothing but good luck, No blown belts, lots of power and never skipped a beat. But I want more. I would really like to see a dyno report of the difference between the two. I know a lot of guys will sing the praise of what ever they are running. But I want to see actual numbers , so that I can make my own decision.
Also I have no interest in the multi tune option. It will be one tune only, I believe you can run the one tune option, because if you see the dreaded knock light come on, all that is needed is to back out of it. And the knock light will only come on ,when you are heavy into the throttle ,and not under cruise conditions.

Are my assumptions right?

I think its silly for guys to just do one tune when you can do a bundle for the same price. You just need to add a dash flash or a flasher to run a bundle.

With one tune if you want to switch it, you pay to switch it, you want to go back to stock you pay to switch it. You end up in the end spending just as much if you'd have just bought the flasher i the first place. I just don't get peoples reasoning on getting stuck with one tune and then you can't even update it.

You have one powertrail tune now and you're looking to change it. Now you will pay more to switch it. See what I'm saying. Wasted money IMO. Then when you want to go back to stock, you'll pay again. If youd have had the flasher you could put it back to stock at trade in and still have the flasher in hand and its $ value.

Exactly. I'm finding that guys that bought one tune, soon after, upgrade to a bundle of tunes. Then some of them upgrade to the dashflash. The beauty of the dashflash is you can set it to the lowest tune if you happen to pull into a gas station that only has 87.
Ryama, I'm not sure there would be much difference between tunes at the same level of boost. I think they are all doing a good job of writing maps. However, since you are already with TD, they may upgrade you without much cost.

Well I understand the logic of the Muti tune bundle. But the question I have is, what is the difference between the two tune companies product. I'm really interested in more power at lower throttle level. And have heard about this quick spool having this throttle response. Is the max spool equivalent of quick spool?

The Max Spool tunes are like the R tunes from Hurricane. They both build boost as quickly as possible. Like someone already stated, you can upgrade to the TD tune bundle for a small price compared to switching tuners now. Spend the money saved on the flasher and have the ability to switch when you want and get all updates.

I can tell you that last year my 240R tune would put bus lengths on the Eco tune. This year the eco tune was upgraded to maxspool 17 and it’s about 2 lengths in front. Big difference from Eco

Not to mention you can use the flasher on your next sled or to flash another sled

So 240r and Max17 are 2 lengths apart?

That means the 270r would be right there! Who’s clutched better for the conditions that day!

From what I've seen

Max 17 and 270r are very close
Max spool 17 and 290r are very close

Setup is key with any sled and tune.

Some guys say that the maxspool tunes are fast, not doubting that at all. I’m curious how many versions are out there, I’d think 285 hp would be a lot faster then 240. Yup set up is key think these are both average set ups.

Traction is the key. Zero traction right now on our lake due to all the snow we got. My friend has a powertrail SMM tune which easily beats my stocker from finish to end with good traction. Yesterday we were right next to each other till 80 then he slowly pulled away. We are both studded but they were useless yesterday.

You will be very happy with max spool TD tunes. Just do some forearm rolls for strength before you mash it:-o
