I’m brand new to the site and I’m hoping that I can get some info on what might be wrong with my set up.
Have a 2008 nitro with mcxpress kit.
Runs great until pump starts heating up and dies. Pack it with snow and wait five minutes and away she goes until it’s hot again.
I’ve heard that mounting it in right spot can play a big role.
Any help is appreciated. Cheers
Where is it mounted now? They usually mount them on the front cross brace on the subframe nest to the steering post. What is the running issue that you get when the pump starts going bad?
Mounted it below the battery. It was mount on frame above battery. Advise from other people was it needed to be below the tank.
Went for trip and same problem. Heated up. So took all the plastic off and it ran fine. I think your advice should work. Mounting it up front where it will get most cold air makes sense.
