Irv,
Good response. Sorry to hear about your SIL & BIL and thier trip to the states, are they married . . . to each other? I checked the 1st 5 pages in the RX section dating back to the 1st week of December. Approx. 30 posts about a poor running sled, whether it be for carbs, tors, coils arcing. Most lead to just a carb clean.
Thanks for getting us to NINE pages now. WOOHOO!

To be honest, how many people on here actually have problems with fuel?
to answer your question, I have problems with fuel.
i live in massachusetts and ride and store my sleds 5 hours away in maine.
I own a viper and an apex. the apex is my primary ride and never gives me fuel related issues. My viper is a spare sled and can often sit for an entire season with the same gas in it.
I dont always get the opportunity to take proper care of the viper and store it as it should be stored because of time and distance and a million other excuses.
The past few years the season has ended abruptly and i have been unable to properly summerize the viper. The sled ends up sitting with the bowls full of gas and gumming up the carbs which require a disassembly and cleaning.
The same situation(carb bowls full of gas sitting 9 months) happened this year except i used the ethanol shield product.
my viper started 3rd pull and ran flawlessly. this is the first time in 3 years i have not had to rebuild my carbs and im pretty f******g excited about it.
and yes, just so you know, i have used just about every stabilizer product known to man including the fitch fuel catalyst with no friggin luck.
do what you want, the choice is yours. but the post was intended to be an FYI for people looking for fuel stabilizer info.
i would like to thank the guy that posted this info last year.
he saved me a Sh1t ton of work and aggrivation by suggesting this product

So because my fuel and I are inadequate I should always use while snowmobiling
1) 5 hr Energy / Monster Energy
2) Engine energy
3) Sea foam
4) Turtles to play in the sea foam and keep my Ty buddies happy.
5) Viagra
I am going to have to write this down, laminate it, and only ride the Venture where I have enough room for the turtles In the trunk (I think the exhaust will keep the turtles warm enough to stay alive IF I remember to bring the turtles in for meals and over night.)
WOW. We need snow. But it is OK to be crazy, keeps us from going INSANE

Wow some heated discussion going on here. I was the lucky guy plowing snow all day and then some time for brewski's. I have just ordered 4 cans of MIB and I fully intend to use it in one of my rx1 for storage I will make sure it is mixed good and that it is burning in the carbs when I shut it down this sled will not be started until the fall when its time to get them ready the others I will do as I have always done with AV gas. Just started my XCF 440 fan cooled polaris for the first time since last winter and it only had seafoam and maybe a gallon or two of av gas started right up and is running like a champ.

yep, to each there own, do what you like, use what u like.. i hope you are happy with your maxima fuel stabilizer, i know that company makes alot of products, that being said im sure they have put in a plethora amount of time developing a fuel stabilizer. or they bought someone elses and had it bottled in their name maybe. i also hope it works for you.. best of luck homie!! i just prefer to buy a fuel treatment from a fuel treatment company.. just my opinion..
Like i said recomended and tested by an independent company and will ship to Canada even though it contains volitile components.
im sure your tank is full all the way right to the brim at every moment in time so condensation would not form, as im sure most people do this with everything they own.. id rather just treat my fuel with a quality tested product and not even have to worry about it.. again just my opinion, i just dont have time to make sure the 22 pieces of equipment i own are full to the brim all the time.. so i treat my fuel.
Old school keep tank full when transitioning from warm to cold environments. Store in garage! Just trying to help!
you do know our fuel tanks on our sleds are vented to the outside atmosphere right??? like my vent line in my phazer runs down by my left foot hold. so unless your sled is in a vacuum sealed bag all the time moisture can enter your tank thru the vent line at any time..im not trying to be a jerk squatch but facts are facts moisture can enter your tank thru multiple ways and thats hoping the fuel you got isnt tainted coming right from the pump in the first place..
Really its vented! I thought the tank just colapsed like a deflated ballon as it emptied and Yamaha used a holographic image to keep us from seeing that!
my friend a few years back got bad gas in his car tank right from the Mobile gas station.. he made it about 50ft till the car quit and he had to have it towed and a decent amount of work fixing the damage the so called "fresh gas" from the station caused..
Yep a car here was filled with a special surprise from a leaking tank.
and i myself on both my phazers had gone to change my chain case oil and this tan milky crud came out.. and that is a straight up FACT.. it had condensation form on the inside of the case.. our chain cases are a totally sealed system and there are multiple threads on condensation in the chain case on this site and im sure you have seen them..
Condensation can occure in the chaincase quite easily remember hot cold thing. I also believe the chaincase is vented if it wasn't it would blow the seal out it!
i like the B3C products, i have had great results with using them and testing them against other products.. its my opinion.. please use what ever you are happy with, and do what ever makes you happy.. i will continue to do the same.
Hey like I said not availible in Canada! But Maxima is and may be an alternitve to Canadians. I would try BS3 but I cant buy it here and I kinda like to know what it is I'm pouring in my tank! It could be the same as Maxima but just with an extra additive to suspend water. In fact star bright does everything that BS3 claims it does and its synthetic as well oh wait so is Maxima! I feel sorry for the people who struggle with huge volumes of water in their fuel.
As far as happy goes I've had good luck with.......... Oops cant use that word here!

Indy said:Rigidone, good write up and posts.
Sasquatch-why can you not just leave well enough alone. This thread is about one product.
Accually as Riggy tested this against two other products and claimed they did not work it has been about three products ever since.
I'm sure you can get the old STP fuel treatment up there, lets do a test. Just kidding with you. But really, why all of the questions and doubts? This product was discussed last spring, and you were involved then. I tested it on my own sleds and had a good result. So I posted my results. Simple. So has others. What is the difference betwene sombody posting about a new style of ski? This is all I've done.
Yep and it worked for you this year. Do the happy dance!WHo needs problems!
If you think that the above mentioned product looks like it will work well, then how about you do a test for the forum when you put your sleds up this spring?
I have tested .......... and it works well in fact my snowblower which I keep in my garage alone with my lawnmover and a bunch of other stuff have never had any gas treatment added to them ever. No phase seperation no problems. My chainsaw sat on a shelf for 10 years and started and cut three cords of wood last summer no problems.
One thing may be different tho, I store my sleds in an enclosed trailer for the summer, I do not start them. So lets see if your product works for you Canadians.
That before the bickering started was a point I made. Where you store your toys makes a huge difference as well as the gas they give you to burn.
Dog-WOOHOO-8 PAGES, GETTING CLOSE TO NINE . . .
Contraversial topic like this one will go 10 at least.

well if i have a problem with fuel it cost me alot of money.. its not the issue of possibly missing a ride im talking thousands of dollars.. i keep a minimum of 100 gallons of fuel on my property at all times, if my fuel has an issue its $500 out the window,, i own a landscape business, i pay people to work for me running gas powered equipment, if those guys cant get a piece of equipment running they still get paid to sit in my truck, the job will not get completed, we will have to go back to complete the job, and that is hoping it wasnt for a special event like a wedding or a party and i still have that account.. i will mow in a complete down pour, i will mow when its 90% humidity, i will mow when ever i have to and mother nature will not dictate that.. the fact is my equipment needs to run flawlessly 100% of the time, i can not afford to have a $2 dry rotted cracked primer bulb ruin a day of work that can cost me thousands.. and that happen once.. the 3 most common reasons for a piece of equipment not to start, no air, no spark, or bad fuel or no fuel.. 90% of those problems are fuel related.. i treat my fuel to save me money.. so its not just about missing a ride to me.. its about me having a place to live, feeding my family, and paying my bills.. that is why i am so passionate about this subject.. because doing something so simple will save me so much $$$ plus my health..
now for my full time job as a warehouse manager for a company that is a distributor for small engine parts, Tecumseh, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, ect... you would not freaking believe the amount of carb kits we sell well over a 1000 a week... so there are huge problems with the fuel and how people store their equipment..
yes the company i work for sells the B3C products, we also sell seafoam, startron, and a couple other fuel products.. but we are a distributor in NY, we do not sell to the public we sell to dealers.. many people have asked me to sell them the product and i ask them where they live and try and refer them to a dealer in there area or ask them to use the "find a dealer" tool on B3C's website.. if a dealer is not available in there area, yes i would sell them.. but i have not had to yet..
last, use what ever gives you piece of mind as i will continue to do the same, i like what i am using and until i see something better i will continue using the B3C products..i like that piece of mind.
